The concept of the new store was specially designed by Giorgio Armani in collaboration with his team of architects. It covers an area of 485 square metres and is arranged over a single floor at street level. The façade of the building has been restyled to reference the historical aesthetic of the building’s architecture. Three windows on Wielandstraße have been reopened and glass sections above the windows allow natural light into the boutique creating a sense of spaciousness.
Giorgio Armani side lit logos have been added to the façade above and to the sides of the entrance. Two monitors, located on either side of the entrance, serve as focal points for visiting customers.
The boutique houses clothing, accessories, fine jewellery, shoes and evening dresses for women, and clothing, accessories, shoes, formalwear, watches and Made to Measure for men. The items are displayed throughout a succession of rooms connected by platinum-look portals.
. Each room is characterised by a specific colour palette. The walls are covered in Armani/Casa printed silk wallpaper with metallic thread inserts. This was designed by Giorgio Armani for the boutiques and then included in the Armani/Casa collection. The ceilings have a semi-gloss, mother-of-pearl finish and the floors are in marble effect. There are lacquered wood free standing display furniture matching each room's colour palette and the lamps throughout the store come from the Armani/Casa collection.
A room dedicated to special collections is characterised by mirrored walls framed with platinum-coloured metal. This area also hosts a beauty offer. The boutique features a Made to Measure room dedicated to the men's tailored collections and watches.
