High-end fashion offerings may be plentiful within the sprawling confines of Mexico City, but when it comes to brands with a certain edge in that very same segment, options are limited, and even more so for men. As of late, a new concept store has come to the rescue to this discerning male demographic, offering a tightly curated range of coveted brands. Simply called jet, it occupies a lofty shop unit at Paseo arcos Bosques, a mall complex in the leafy Bosque de las Lomas neighbourhood of the mexican capital.
The boutique is founded by three individuals with a solid background in public relations, marketing and fashion who sensed a gap in the local market. shying away from the usual shimmer and shine of luxury retail, they aimed to create a more accessible yet immersive retail environment fully compatible with the outspoken labels on display.
In collab with local practice Coa Arquitectura an industrial inspired setting has been crafted. Clothing racks line the walls along with timber casing that somewhat breaks the store's monochrome grey palette. Additional furnishings and fixtures comprise of sturdy wooden tables, a chunky concrete display, and rows of suspended light spots that add to the industrial vibe of the premises. As said, jet stocks a range of forward brands and some are exclusive to the store. The current brand list includes coveted brands from across the planet, such as Rick Owens, Visvim, Haider Ackermann, Off-White and Head Porter.
