The creative reign of Pharell Williams at Louis Vuitton‘s men’s collections is gaining full speed and has now manifested in retail, at least in the Land of the Rising Sun. As one of the most important markets for the luxury brand, also in menswear, it’s here where going the extra yard to woo one’s clientele is the norm. The latest effort of the Paris-based brand is a pop-up store dedicated entirely to its newest men’s collection. The aptly named Louis Vuitton S/S 2024 Men’s pop-up store sits alongside Koen dori, a busy shopping artery in Shibuya, one of Tokyo‘s most popular shopping districts.
The ephemeral store occupies two floors of a modern building whose façade has been decorated with the brand’s signature Damier pattern which extends indoors across the ground floor in a relief form and dipped in a gold hue. A series of different settings, which include various props and installations with digital animation, present different part of the men’s collection. One floor up, a soft green domain unfolds, furnished with matching monolithic cabinets and shelving units, and there’s even a seating area where to catch your breath in between shopping sprees (open through Jan 21).
