Capsula multibrand store by GöSKE PROJECT, Budapest – Hungary

Made by: Göske Project
Published in: October 12 2013 / Fashion Stores
The aim of the design was to create a highly elegant, spacious and welcoming store, which has been achieved with the colour white, the bright large plain and arched surfaces. The two architects – Sandor Gocsei and Eniko Korompay – have kept the historic building’s indoor columns and the ratio of the space and given a flowing contemporary touch to it. Entering the store, we have the experience of stepping into an exhibition space; the clear-cut interior-design, the white surfaces, the lighting, all emphasise the fashion items in the store. The simple cubic counter elevates a mannequin and displays it with its dress as an art object, and the black ‘shard of glass’ shaped form hanging from the ceiling gives an extra stress to it.
The small boxes on the wall reinterpret the multibrand store’s typography, shaping the letter ‘a’ from the logo and showcase accessories such as Tom Ford, YSL and D&G bags. The capsule shaped recess in the wall creates an exclusive cabinet space for the Tom Ford’s women collection.

The backspace of the store has a lower indoor height, so there was a certain need to connect the two parts as smoothly as possible, therefore barrisol came in handy and the front space flows into the backspace with this shiny arched ceiling, giving a comfortable transition to the different ratios.
